POPWHEELS

In the modern age, to “pop a wheelie” means staying up and on the go—with purpose. It suggests a level of skill that comes only through knowledge and control of the tool—in this case, a bike. This is why a bike’s identity can no longer be reduced to wheel count, consumer category, or riding-club ethos. It’s defined by a single rider—one with the ability to redefine what upright means at a time when “staying grounded” can be seen as either safe or restrictive, depending on both the rider and the bike. May those riders skilled enough to pop wheels—with a helmet, of course—be considered boundary-pushers, setting a new standard.
